Pastor Ben Zuberbier was born
November 12, 1988 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He became a child of God through
Holy Baptism on Thanksgiving Day—November 24, 1988—at Mt. Lebanon Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Pastor Zuberbier has two younger siblings, Luther
and Mollie. Because his father is also a pastor, he moved various times during
his childhood as his father accepted calls to serve different congregations in
Michigan and Wisconsin.
Pastor Zuberbier finished his high
school years at Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac, WI in 2007 and
enrolled at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota to pursue pastoral
studies. Upon graduation in 2011, he was approved to enroll at Wisconsin
Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. During his classroom years there, he assisted
a congregation in Hubertus, WI. His duties included teaching, preaching, and
shut-in visits. During his third year at the Seminary, he started his vicar
year, a year of practical ministry experience under the supervision of a
pastor. For six months he served as a vicar in Radcliff, Kentucky and for six
months he spent time with a congregation in Hiram, Georgia. He graduated the
Seminary in 2015 and was assigned to serve as pastor of Trinity Evangelical
Lutheran Church here in Eugene, Oregon. Since his ordination in August, 2015 he
has thoroughly enjoyed serving his ministry at this congregation.
Pastor Zuberbier’s wife’s name is
Hannah. The two were married in June, 2015. They both enjoy exploring the state
of Oregon and hiking the many trails scattered throughout it.
